Solving client challenges
We have worked with hundreds of leading media organisations to help them solve their most important challenges. This has included working with the Guardian, Corriere della Sera, the National Theatre, MediaCorp Singapore, El Pais, Euronews, National Media Group Kenya, St Paul’s Cathedral and many others. All our projects are bespoke, designed around the needs of our clients and cover a range of topics including Corporate Strategy, Commercial Growth, Operational Transformation and AI, Technology & Data.
Project lengths vary depending on what you are trying to achieve. For instance, a tactical project focused on improving conversion rates can last 3 weeks, whereas a transformation project focused on transitioning a business to a digital-first revenue mix could be 6 months or longer.
OUR PROCESS
Our Consulting Services encompass both advisory and hands-on implementation work. A typical project will include three phases:
Discovery
At the start of the project, we’ll use the Discovery phase to understand your business and assess its current performance by analysing a large body of data including financial performance, web analytics, customer interviews, focus groups and key internal stakeholder interviews. This allows us to compare you — quantitatively and qualitatively — to your competitors and others within the market; it also allows us to build a picture of where the greatest gaps or opportunities lie.
Strategy
Leveraging all that we have learned during the Discovery phase, we co-develop a strategy based on our industry experience and expertise. In practice, this involves a series of interactive strategy workshops tailored to your organisation’s objectives that provide actionable recommendations on possible improvements.
Implementation
The Implementation Phase of a project can vary significantly: it may mean setting you up for success and leaving you to execute the strategy (if budgets are tight), or it could mean FT Strategies actually doing the work for you (for example, building a propensity to churn model on your behalf).

OUR IMPACT
Mediacorp: Defining the future of TODAY
FT Strategies helped Mediacorp redefine the digital presence of Singapore's online newspaper TODAY to better serve its millennial audience. In response to increased news fatigue and overlapping audiences with Mediacorp’s main news brand, CNA, the engagement focused on determining TODAY’s optimal future.
Over three months, FT Strategies assessed TODAY’s current performance, simulated potential future scenarios, and provided data-backed recommendations that have been successfully adopted.
